We met up with members of the Cairns Mudcrabs masters swimming club, the most active open water swimming group in Cairns, along with members of Atherton Mountaineers and Malanda Aquatic Dragons clubs at a swim trial in Lake Barrine organised by Theresa and Gabby of Swim Cairns.

During our chat we talked about the open water swim scene in Cairns, the preference for lake swimming (in the most amazing freshwater lakes) and how the many swimming groups in the region get together to enjoy the sport.
