Details

Date: 22 June 2020
Interview number: 008
Interviewee: Grant Siedle, Open water event organiser & innovator
Venue:
At home, Williamstown, Melbourne

Description

We met up with Grant at his home in Williamstown, Melbourne, and spoke to him in the recording studio he has set up for his musical talents.

Grant is a career swim coach and event organiser and we talked about both these roles, focusing on innovation and risk management – two areas that need to be perfectly intertwined to deliver the kind of exciting events Grant has put on over the years, like the Rip Swim, an iconic 3.2km bucket-list swim across the entrance to Port Phillip Bay.

It was great to discuss our common interest in coaching open water swimmers and inspiring people to enjoy ocean lifestyles.
