We met up with Cyril Baldock OAM at the Bondi surf club to take a look back at the start of ocean swim events in Australia, his marathon swimming exploits and his lifelong involvement in surf lifesaving.

Cyril is literally a human newspaper headline (go ahead and Google him) and has had some great stories about the early days of the sport, including his time swimming with the man they called “The King Of The Channel” Des Renford.
