Relaxing ocean swims where the focus is on fun and enjoyment

MOCEAN ocean fitness sessions are all about the motion in the ocean! They’re for ocean swimmers who want to enjoy a nice relaxing ocean swim.

There’s never any pressure to get your heart-rate up (although you’ll still get plenty of fitness benefits) and the focus is purely on fun and enjoyment.

Sessions will be guided by what participants would like to do, and could include anything from a long casual swim to a body surfing session.

Bring a friend and have a laugh while getting fit – then treat yourself after with a coffee.

This class is for ‘average’ swimmers just looking to cruise with no pressure


You have reasonable technique, your fitness is developing and you have efficient and relaxed breathing


You have completed the Learn to ocean swim clinic or have had Private lessons with us


You are not in any rush and are happy to cruise and enjoy the opportunities as they arise

We have two blocks during the season.

An 8-week block in the lead up to Christmas, and then a 6-week block after New Years. These block lengths coincide with the morning light we have available before work.

Participants are required to sign up for a whole block of 6/8 classes upfront. There is no concession for classes missed during a block due to our extremely small class sizes (1:6).

During some seasons, depending on weather, we may run a pre-season and/or post-season blocks. These are communicated to participants and times are managed around the sunlight hours available.

No. Participants need to sign up for a whole block of six/eight classes upfront.

Due to our extremely small class sizes (1:6), we do not have the capacity to offer make-up classes or refunds for classes missed. We will do our best to accommodate you in another class if space becomes available, but there is no guarantee and we are not obliged to.

Why would you want to miss a class anyway?!

Our instructors are pro’s at managing different levels of ability within a small class, so in the first instance you will need to remain in this class until the end of the block.

If we can find a spot for you in a VITALITY class, we’ll do our best to move you.
