Description

We met up with Val on Great Keppel Island to learn more about the Keppel Islands Swimming Association he founded and the association’s main fundraising event, the Great Keppel Island Swim.

We also talked through his swimming career that took him to two Olympics (1996 & 2000) as a breaststroker, and subsequently his international career in coaching and swimming pool facilities management. Val also swam the English Channel in 2019 and has a passion for growing the long-distance side of the sport in Australia.
