Sunscreen: Protection from the sun

If you’re spending a lot of time outside swimming you need to be wearing sunscreen for your own safety.

If you’re spending a lot of time outside swimming you need to be wearing SPF 30+ sunscreen, if you’re ocean swimming you need good waterproof sunscreen.

Buy a few tubes and leave one in your swim bag, car, home etc that way you’ll never be without it.

How to apply sunscreen

  1. Apply your sunscreen at least 10 minutes before swimming making sure you rub it in well on your face so there’s less chance of it leaking into your eyes
  2. Wash off the sunscreen left on your hands by rubbing them in the wet sand
