We met up with Robert ‘Chappo’ Chapman in Wanda to talk to the 2x Australian Surf Ironman Champion about his career as an Ironman back in the late 70’s, early 80’s, what makes multiple championship-winning ironmen so good, and what it takes to be a top surf swimmer.

We also delve into life outside surf lifesaving, including the highs and lows of being a father, a teacher and an ex high-performance athlete.
