We met up with club founder Steven Cornelius & (his trusty sidekick) Peta Logan after a gorgeous return swim north along the beach to discuss the formation of the registered swimming club, a rarity in the ocean swimming world, plus we dived into the ocean swimming scene on the glitter strip, the growth of the sport in SE Queensland and how marathon swimming has played a big part in the popularity of ocean swimming.

Location: Home base is in front of Kurrawa SLSC, however, there are swims at Miami Beach and Kirra
Meeting times: Saturdays @ 8am at Kurrawa. Midweek swims @ 9am, Monday & Friday at Kurrawa, Tuesday & Thursday at Miami Beach, and Wednesday at Kirra
