The Vladswim Challenge Swim at Balmoral is the ultimate event for daring swimmers to test their fitness, strength and endurance.
The event offers a 2.5km and 5km open water swim and a 10km marathon swim for athletes 14 years and above.
Initially created for swimmers needing a qualifying swim to be done for the Rottnest Channel event, the Vladswim has grown to become a training session or an end-of-year goal for swimmers to reach, challenging athletes both physically and mentally.
After the swim, hang around, grab a bite to eat and enjoy all that the area has to offer.
The Vladswim Challenge tests swimmer's endurance and strength in the water with three distances to choose from; a 2.5km, 5km or 10km swim.
The course is a 2.5km loop starting at Chinamans Beach. The route heads south towards Edwards Beach, turns at Rocky Point and finishes back at Chinamans Beach. Competitors opting for the 5km swim will do the loop twice and those choosing to do the 10km will do the loop four times.
With a range of distances to choose in a friendly environment and with calm conditions, the Vladswim Challenge is the perfect event for athletes of all abilities to push themselves.
Besides its beautiful beaches, Balmoral is home to delicious restaurants and cafes.
