Imagine a volcanic centrepiece at the Hauraki Gulf as your backdrop while swimming. That’s what you’ll find when you step foot on the start line of the Rangitoto Swim.
The Rangitoto Swim is the second of ten swims in the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series and the most unique swim in the series.
Consisting of four different swim events, The Rangitoto Swim provides an ocean swim event for all ages and abilities.
– The Full Rangitoto is a 4.6km point-to-point swim. Participants will take the Fullers360 ferry to the Rangitoto Volcano where they will tackle the 4.5km journey back to the beautiful sandy shores of St Heliers Beach.
– The 2.3km Half Rangitoto is the perfect distance for those not quite ready to take on the full Rangitoto while building up for the big one next year.
– The 1.25km Quarter Rangitoto is an achievable distance for most individuals with swimming experience.
– The Banana Boat OceanKids has two swim distances; 100m and 200m for kids aged between 7-12 years old.
